The Lake Edge Neighborhood Association has been active within the neighborhood and in its relationship with the City of Madison.  Your annual dues support a wide variety of services and activities that communicate critical information, promote neighborhood spirit, build connections, improve health and safety, and provide opportunities for individuals to give back to their community.

A strong neighborhood association gives back to its community by sustaining property values and helping to maintain a vibrant, supportive place to live.  It also gives you an opportunity to use your expertise or learn something new.

Over the years, the members of LENA have improved the neighborhood by:

  • Obtaining city grants for a welcome sign and gathering circle for the neighborhood at Lake Edge Park;
  • Organizing events for neighbors to socialize;
  • Being involved in the revitalization of Monona Drive and the initial design of the Royster Clark property redevelopment;
  • Facilitating communication between local residents, city officials, and elected leaders to ensure that we have a voice in the decisions that affect us;
  • Providing garden clean ups at Quaker Park and Lake Edge Park.

Whatever you want it to be!  It can range from as little as the time it takes to send a check each year to as much time as you are willing to invest.  Many of our members enjoy getting together for social events a few times a year.  We are happy to have you participate as often or as little as you wish.  It is a wonderful way to receive, learn about, and discuss important city and community issues.
